Why?

Addressing gender inequity is essential to success in conservation. Women in conservation need a space to intimately connect, learn from and support each other to effectively pursue their purpose.

Women with Resolve is the path to that space.

What?

Women with Resolve (WWR) offers women in conservation fields an opportunity to deeply connect with each other while creating  a community of practice. Within this safe space, participants will foster ongoing dialogue related to the issues that women continue to face while working within the conservation field, where they can lean on each other, and find sanctuary and encouragement for collective conservation progress. Additionally, Women with Resolve offers a chance to gain additional skills and knowledge through speaker sessions that feature innovative, unique and unexplored approaches to conservation.

If we are to raise conservation to be a thriving movement, then diversity, equity, and inclusion needs to be embedded into the DNA of conservation organizations. Gender diversity is essential to ensure equitable and just conservation outcomes.

Who?

Women with Resolve is for women researchers and educators, non-governmental organizations, government agencies, municipalities, Tribes and First Nations, practitioners, and consulting groups whose work is within the conservation field.

For this program we define women as anyone who identifies as women, femme/feminine-identifying, genderqueer and non-binary.
