This course was designed for conservationists, environmental activists, social innovators, sustainable entrepreneurs and anyone who wants to apply Design Thinking Skills to Environmental Conservation challenges.
This is an experiential, hands-on workshop where you will be introduced to Design Thinking through real life examples, learn its basic structure and methodology, and apply the learned concepts in a conservation challenge of your choice.
Over the course we will introduce specific DESIGN FOR CONSERVATION tools, developed by Resolve Conservation, that will help you think of new ways of planning interactions between wildlife and humans through 4 stages of D4C:
1. Problem framing and systemic interpretation
2. Solution ideation
3. Idea prototyping and refinement
4. Solution implementation and evolution
After taking this workshop you will be able to recognize the process behind successful innovation cases, you will learn how to use Design Thinking Tools and work collaboratively and interdisciplinarily with different stakeholders of the Conservation sector.
