Liz Rutledge
USA
Liz has been the Wildlife Specialist at the North Carolina Wildlife Federation since 2014. She applies science-based decision making and policy to on-the-ground conservation and management programs to ensure that wildlife, habitat, and natural resources are maintained for future generations. Additionally, Liz works with hunters, hunt clubs, and local communities to manage white-tailed deer and feed the hungry through a venison donation program. Growing up in the mountains of North Carolina she cultivated a love and respect for the outdoors which has continued throughout her career. As a female in wildlife and conservation she encourages other women to get involved in careers in science and the outdoors. She enjoys mentoring students, assisting with community projects, and she likes to hike, camp, fish, hunt, garden, and travel in her free time.
